TYPICAL SYMPTOMS OF PINCHED NERVE IN NECK

• Typical nerve compression in the neck will exhibit mild to severe constant achy pain in the neck and in the shoulder blade area that will not stop

• Patient will often feel the need to raise thier arm over thier head and put thier hand on head to reduce the pain

• Some patient will experience a "pins and needles" feeling in the hand and/or fingers

 

TYPICAL TREATMENT PLANS

• Muscle stimulation to relax the muscles and reduce pain

• Soft tissue / Massage therpay to relax the muscles and reduce pain

• Chiropractic manipulation

  • Treatment is focused on reducing the compression on the nerve whether due to disc bulge or arthritis and bone spur

 

TYPICAL TREATMENT FREQUENCY AND DURATION

• Most patient would be asked to be seen daily for 3-5 days and treatment would reduce in frequency as symptoms reduce

• Most patients have a noticeable reduction in symptoms in 2-4 visits
